E-Mail Guidelines

In general, we are open to all student concerns - but as the number of e-mails to the student council address that do not directly concern our area of responsibility is constantly increasing, we have decided on the following guidelines:

What we are always happy to receive #

  • E-mails from students of our faculty of any content
  • Questions about studies/university etc. from pupils
  • Anything relevant to university politics
  • Ideas for improving teaching at our faculty, our website…
  • Questions about the study situation, the university’s willingness to cooperate with the student representatives, …
  • Inquiries, tips and suggestions from other student councils and student representatives

Emails for which we are the wrong contact person #

Job offers & internship offers #

There are enough mailing lists on which job offers are read by people who are really looking for a job. However, if you think you absolutely have to advertise for a specific position at the Faculty of Engineering, you can do so on markt@informatik.uni-freiburg.de.

Announcements for job fairs, trade fairs, company information days, etc. #

If you are not looking for intensive cooperation, such as financial support for trips to relevant fairs, please send your e-mail directly to markt@informatik.uni-freiburg.de. We also ask that you include a subject line and write a meaningful text in the e-mail. Messages like “Please note the following attachment.” waste the reader’s time and are immediately deleted by most students.

Commercial surveys, field studies or events #

Please contact the Studierendenwerk!

Surveys & field studies for research and student research projects #

Please send your e-mail directly to markt@informatik.uni-freiburg.de.

Please send your e-mail directly to markt@informatik.uni-freiburg.de.

Housing requests and offers #

Please send your e-mail directly to markt@informatik.uni-freiburg.de.

We do not have a “links” or “external offers” section on the website that refers to external companies/job exchanges/ associations. This is a conscious decision: As a matter of principle, we do not refer to offers that are not offered by the University of Freiburg or that directly concern everyday student life.
