Language Courses at the University Freiburg are organised and provided by the Sprachlehrinstitut  . Here you can find a catalogue of different languages where the teaching language of mostly German.

Free German courses #

Through the ‘Additional programme for international students’ (APIS) it is possible to take part in german language courses free of charge. You can find more information on their Website  . Since we have heard that the system to register for these courses has been dificult in the past, we are currently working on a Step-by-Step Tutorial to make it easier for you to take part in these courses.

Additional German courses by the SLI #

If the designated slots for the APIS programme are filled and you didn’t get in, there is also the possibility to participate in the same courses through the SLI website, however these courses require a payment of a participation fee (approx. 190€). A list of possible courses can be found on the Website  of the SLI.
